Since childhood I was attracted to creation: painting, knitting, sewing, but my father did not like my interest in this, he encouraged me only to learn piano. I studied music in Music School. Later on, I turned into a Hi-Tech person. It wasn’t a surprise to me :).
Visualizing is a strong ability of mine. I find sculpture be very interesting due to the fact it is a 3D art. You can see the art different from any point of view. With mesh it is critical - it is almost see through and the shades plays well.
It drives me to lovable pleasant places in my mind.
I live and breathe the work and I wish to share my happiness with the world.
I don’t feel special. I feel blessed.
Art is my cure and it elevates me to high spiritual levels and happiness.
I was a hi-tech person working in a company. Later on I continued as a freelancer. As I was trying to race in the rat race world I felt choked - no more air for my soul. This is when I decided that my life were meaningless without creation (this was just two years ago). I returned to art craft - I registered to a short course and learned sculpturing. I learned at home alone to sculpt on glass bottles with polymer clay, I made dolls of famous characters I admired like Dali, Mr. Bean, Freddie Mercury, Woody Allen and more…
My soul gain back energy and my motivation got higher!
The world of creation was rediscovered again when I combined polymer clay with clams, corals, rocks, even cans. I found most exciting to bring recycled materials a new life. Thought, the great love I found was wire metal mesh sculpture. I started to sculpt in mesh and since I could not stop sculpturing! I sculpt in different kind of mesh types, and integrates between them. I integrate in mesh sculpture polymer clay, shells and various recycling materials.
The greatest passion is to MESH. My project is to discover the mesh sculpture and the mesh integrated with recycled materials for people who look for unique items and home design and wall decor. Wire mesh sculpture are not fragile, weightless, their shadow stunning. The mesh-made chandelier are gorgeous. I got my inspiration from brilliant sculptors like Paul Hill and Seung Mo Park.
With great hope to turn my hobby and passion into a way of living - I opened my Etsy shop:
MeshAndClayArt.Etsy.com
